One of the most prestigious shipyards, the Dutch Heesen Yachts, announced earlier this week the delivery of the Y/N 16847 project, the 47m luxury motor yacht Elena. Formerly known as Project Margarita, now named M/Y Elena was delivered to her Owners last month.

The 47m super yacht Elena is one of the vessels within the award-winning 47-metre class, a breed of Heesen Yachts, that are icons of classic contemporary yacht design. After intensive sea trials which were completed on June 4th and 5th, in particularly heavy sea conditions in the North Sea the yacht was delivered to the new owner on 11th July 2014.

As usual with all new luxury motor yachts in this range, the 47m Elena is equipped with zero speed stabilisers which ensure maximum comfort when the yacht charter guesta are at anchor. On top, she carries now well known, uniquely engineered round bilge hull with bulbous bow and is powered by two MTU 8V 4000 M63 super yacht engines. This guarantees the yacht and her guests will have a very smooth and safe cruising in all sea conditions with a maximum range of around 4.000nm at the speed of 12 knots.

Upon the delivery, the new Owner commented:
“When I came to the shipyard in Oss the first time it was love at first sight:
This is going to be our home away from home on the ocean!”

This superb mega yacht is now getting ready for her maiden voyage to the Northern Europe, within Scandinavian regions.  By the end of the summer the yacht will be heading South towards the West Mediterranean before reaching South of France and finally attending to the Monaco Yacht Show from 24th to 27th September. She will be available for viewing during those dates yet in case you are interested in chartering or buying similar vessels, such viewings can be arranged elsewhere and during different periods.

More about Heesen Yachts:
Founded by Frans Heesen in 1978 in the town of Oss, the Netherlands, Heesen Yachts was the first Dutch shipyard to employ aluminium alloy for the building of yacht hulls. Since then, the yard has become a world leader in the design, engineering and construction of high performance, all-aluminium motor yachts and is increasingly known for delivering pedigree yachts at reduced delivery times. In 1992 Heesen Yachts expanded their business to include the construction of traditional displacement, long-range steel-hulled yachts, and today the company can also deliver magnificent private yachts within the 37 to 70 metres size range, and beyond.

The current fleet which is to be found across all world oceans, includes aluminium, steel, displacement, semi-displacement and the new revolutionary fast displacement models. Additional twelve yachts are currently under construction and their deliveries span through to 2017 with new orders happily being taken.

MY ELENA is not expected to be available for luxury crewed yacht charters in Norway or Sweden during August, neither in the West Mediterranean during September. She may be offered for charter as of 2015 however, thus if you are interested you can enquire about her availability and charter offering.
